Anyone else see a HUGE upswing in incoming packets from Russia?

I plan to stick around

I have Russia geo-blocked in my third-party router.  Over the past 2 days, I've noticed incoming activity has increased by a factor of over 30.   But only from Russia.    It persisted even after changing my IP address.   Anyone else seeing this?

Hello, @soupy

Thank you for posting your inquiry in the Community.

I can understand how concerning it can be to see this type of activity from a source you deem to be unsafe. We have not been advised of any reports of unusual activity coming from IP addresses in Russia.

If you are noticing any issues with your internet service as a result of this activity, please let us know what is happening so we can assist you.

Thanks for your reply. I phoned support, and they said they don't get notifications of this kind of issue either. I suspect only the upper tier network people are aware, if they notice at all. 😄

Anyhow, it's not a DOS attack, so my service isn't impacted. It's just very concerning.

Cheers.
