I have noted that the light on one of my STBs comes on around 3-4am - I assume its doing an update. The light then turns off shortly thereafter and all is well. However, the last two nights the light has remained on when I wake up. When I attempt to turn on the TV it shows a black screen - the STB is frozen. I can reboot and the problem clears and it works fine. However, it turns on in the night and freezes up. None of my other boxes are doing this, but it has been two nights in a row. Any ideas?

@jjjjy7 I'm not sure why this is happening. It's most likely that your set-top box is failing. It could also be an HDMI handshake issue or some other interoperability problem that cropped up.
If the STB never finished booting and did not connect to the network then it's most likely a defective box. (Try pinging it from your computer.)
You could try exchanging set-top boxes with another TV. If the problem follows the box, then the box may need to be replaced.
I would also contact tech support the next time that the box freezes and have them run their tests. They might be able to confirm that the box is defective and send you a replacement.

@-G- I just had a box swapped out yesterday. The box they sent me is giving the error device activation has failed due to error 012. Already dealing with one headache.

I think that is because the defective STB is still active on your account and the new one has not been activated yet. Send a PM to @CommunityHelps , provide them with the Serial Numbers and/or Device MAC addresses for the defective and replacement STBs, and they should be able to take care of that for you.
