The CBC National News is on multiple times on multiple channels every night and they all seem to be marked "New" in the guide. I would like to record it a 9pm on channel 26 so we can watch it at our convenience - usually a bit before or after 10:00 pm. I don't see a way to do that.
I tried recording every episode and keeping 2 episodes but at 10:05 pm it was recording the 10:00pm version and the 9:00pm version was not available.
Am I missing something?

ah no, we've just moved to ignite. Thanks, I'm in the wrong forum I guess. We had been doing "this timeslot only" up til now but i don't see that option on ignite.

I see that this thread has been moved to the IgniteTV forum. Let's hope someone can help you with your situation, but I believe this has come up before and there is no timeslot option. I don't believe there is a workaround other than to try "new", which doesn't seem to work properly for some news programming which airs several times a day and is labelled "new" each time. I believe something similar happens on CTV and possibly other channels/programming. I suppose you could do single recordings?

I don't know of any equivalent to record "this timeslot" of a recurring show with Ignite TV. I just go the timeslot for the desired program in the Guide, record the single episode, then press Fast Forward to advance one day, record that, and so on.
