Re: Ignite TV home phone voice mail indicators

I’ve experienced the same issues with lack of VM indicators with ignite. This morning I noticed that the VM indicator light was flashing on my Panasonic cordless handset and the screen indicated new VM. Picked up handset heard only a dial tone. Dialed *98, was told I have 1 new message.  It was an old message from 5 days ago!

Seriously Rogers.

Whats up?

Fix it!

I told Rogers about this issue back in Nov 2018

They keep telling me to try stupid troubleshooting steps

They keep sending technician to my house..

They finally admitted in Feb that is the issue!!

This is the company that we are dealing with.

PLEASE call your concierge and tell them you have this issue

PLEASE call Ignite TV support and open ticket and have them escalate to L2

Re: Ignite TV home phone voice mail indicators

Yes last night at 9pm while I was on the phone, my modem rebooted. When it came back up the VM indicator is off and this morning it was still off.

But even if there is a VM left it still doe snot come on.

Back to square one. Still bad.

Re: Ignite TV home phone voice mail indicators

You're right. I just had a VM left for me - and the indicator light did not come on - nor did the stutter tone. When I dialed *98, I indeed had a new VM. So instead of being on all the time, the light is now off all the time.

Anyone that has this issue, can they post WHICH of the new modems the have? The Arris or the Technicolor one?

As I have one of the Arris ones.. and the VM indicator is working for me.
On two different brand phones.  Vtech, and just switched to a panasonic set.

Mine is CGM4140COM and still have the issue as I was the first one reported this issue to Rogers back in Nov 2018!!!

According to google CGM4140COM is Comcast Xfininity which also show other part number that people reported on this page..
