Re: Ignite TV - Several Issues

Rogers ignite is absolutely by far the worst television service I have ever had. Frustrating is an understatement. They sweet talk you on how great it is but it just sucks... all of it! I wish I never switched. But it’s Rogers, so there slowly trying to kill the old system to replace with this ignite garbage. If all you want to watch is messages on your screen telling you “we have a problem” then Rogers Is for you. Lucky for them there isn’t much better out there. What a shame In this day and age.

Re: Ignite TV - Several Issues

I have had ignite for quite awhile now.  My Wifi printer works fine, however I always had to have a cable running from my security network router to the new ignite gateway.  If you find something different, like getting rid of the security router all together, please let us know.

Re: Ignite TV - Several Issues

When you buy a car you have an expectation of a certain functionality, and if this is not met then I would complain to the dealership. The same goes for Ignite TV. I expect that it should function at least as well as the service I "upgraded" from and right now it is far worse. Today a new issue cropped up for me and I can no longer pause live tv as my ignite set top box doesn't support it, though it supported it yesterday. So yes, complaining about a bad product is not the consumers being unreasonable. Companies need to be held accountable for the products and services they provide.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Just for context, once I got past the initial familiarization, I have had to boot the tv-boxes (3)... about 3 in 5 months, and the gateway about twice in that time.  I have not had a problem with live-pause.

Do you have more than 1 TV box... does it happen on every one?

As usual, the first test is to restart the TV-box.

You can do that from the remote with:
