Thanks for the summary polygon09. That exactly describes my status as well.
A positive development? 515/991 TSN5K has been broadcasting the CFL game without issue, no frozen picture, no XRE error!
All other existing issues remain. e.g. 507/997 SN4K is showing the SNO (HD-only) feed right now of the Jays home game, and it's broadcasting it at a noticeably slower frame rate than the other SN channels.
But anyway, baby steps...
Yeah, I was able to watch TSN5K last night without any issues. No 4K for the Jays game though.
The march towards meeting baseline expectations continues 🙂
I can confirm that 984 FST4K is now broadcasting without issue. The source volume is a bit low compared to other channels, but otherwise the previous issues on this channel have not been observed.
Now all that needs to be resolved is the "SNO-HD feed on SN4K" issue, here's hoping the man-behind-the-curtain can pull one more rabbit out of the hat!
With the shifting of programming around today with Rogers Cup, the Jays game was moved to SN1, which meant that for the first time in some time, the home Jays broadcast was available on 509/996 SN14K. As you can see, this is broadcasting the correct 4K feed:
So the 4K is definitely capable on the SN feeds in Ottawa, it's just a matter of getting the right 4K feed for 507/997 SN4K.
An update since my last post:
- I don't observe the macroblocking/frozen picture issues any more on any of the 4K channels.
- There's an additional 4K specialty channel (982 LN4K, Love Nature) now in my lineup, no issues with it.
- 507/997 SN4K was still an issue for Blue Jays broadcasts, in that it was broadcasting the regular HD feed. We'll see if this is fixed for the 2020 baseball season.
- 507/997 SN4K *does* broadcast Leafs and Raptors in proper 4K when there is scheduled programming, from what I've seen.
Aside from the initial tech visit back in the summer (where they replaced my modem, which of course made no difference), I didn't request any further tech support, nor did I make any changes in my TV setup, and things basically resolved themselves on their own (which I understand is not particularly helpful to those still experiencing issues).
If it makes a difference, I'm located in the Wellington West/Hintonburg area.
I'm having this same issue with error code XRE-03090 for all stations. TV channels, nor Crave works??? I have reset, refreshed modem and restart the box...nothing works! For the amount of money we pay this is ridiculous! Now I have to be an IT person....seriously! I just want to be able to watch TV ,not deal with this nonsense! It hasn't been working from 3pm-now its 9pm!!!
Good evening @venison,
Welcome to the Rogers Community & thank you for your post!
I hope you were able to reach a resolution. If not, have you had a chance to speak with our technical support about this issue? If so, was there a ticket created for this?
Please don't hesitate to send us a private message to @CommunityHelps so that we access your account and look into this further.
