How long can you pause a restarted show before it times out?

When I see a show that can be restarted no issue. It does that. During watching the show if I pause it to long it just drops out and I lose the whole show.
How long can you pause a restarted show?

I've tested it on my own set and the maximum amount of time you can pause a restarted or recorded show is 10 minutes.

What you can do is press the red record button to start recording the programme and then go to restart.  The recording will save from about 30 seconds after you press the record button.  This way, if you switch away or pause too long, etc. at least you'll have the recording from the time you pressed record.  This won't help if you're really far into the programme, but should help if you're not too far in.
