Using Kids Zone on Ignite TV

It’s a play room on your TV made just for kids. With Kids Zone on Ignite TV_TM, kids can safely enjoy all their favourite shows and movies. With a fun interface where only age-appropriate content is enabled, plus a PIN-protected exit feature, it means way more fun for kids, and far less worry for parents. 

Accessing and Using Kids Zone

Give your kids the entertainment they want without the worry with Kids Zone.

With a voice command

1. Press the Mic button on your Voice Remote. 
2. Use a voice command like “Kids Zone” or “Open Kids Zone.” The Kids Zone page will display, where you can browse all programs and movies for children 12 or under. 
3. At any time in Kids Zone, press and hold the Mic button on your Voice Remote and use a voice command to search for a program, like “Find Moana.” 
4. Select the program from the results list to watch or learn more about it.

Without a voice command

1. Press the Rogers button on your Voice Remote to open the main menu. 
2. Select On Demand. 
3. Select Kids. 
4. Select Kids Zone. The Kids Zone page will display, where you can browse all programs and movies for children 12 or under.
5. At any time in Kids Zone, use your Voice Remote to enter a program title. 
6. Select the program from the results list to watch or learn more about it. 

Changing Kids Zone settings

Customize your kids’ level of protection and control during their Kids Zone experience with these safeguarding features

1. In Kids Zone, select Settings (the wheel icon). A list of settings will display, including the following
   • Use Parental Control PIN = Allows you to control Kids Zone content using your Parental Control PIN.
   • Restrict Content by Age Range = Allows you to filter Kids Zone content by age range.
   • Allow Ability to Set Recordings = Allows kids to set their own recordings in Kids Zone.
   • Play the Next Episode = Enables the automatic play of the next episode of a series in Kids Zone.
   • Common Sense Media Ratings and Reviews = Enables Common Sense media ratings and reviews to display when you select a program.
2. Highlight the feature you want to change, then use the OK button to toggle the feature On or Off
3. If you want to change the Restrict Content by Age Range setting, highlight the feature and press the OK button. A list of age ranges will appear, including 10-12, 8-9, 5-7 and 2-4. Select the one you want to filter Kids Zone content by.
4. Press the Last button to return to the Kids Zone main menu.
