Thank you for your post. You can use the "Find My iPhone" feature to track the phone. This feature is mainly used to find the lost phone; you can learn more about it in the Support article.

First and foremost, which device do you own? Every device / OS has a different way of tracking someone's whereabouts ( like Find My IPhone).

I use the Google Family to track my kid's phones and manage their screen time and bedtime downtime. I really like it because I can allow or disallow certain apps.
