Wasn't too sure as to where I should go about asking this question. Anyway, I just got my first BB, the Torch 9800. Trying to setup the email. I do everything to setup my email but still can't send or receive but I think I know why. First thing is first, do I need a data plan? I just use the wifi connection @home and @work, so I did not take the option not even the 500mb. Currently only on the UNLM social network plan.

Yes, you need a data plan. You will not be able to setup email unless you change your data plan.

I am using Telus email at home and using Rogers Cellphone to receive and send email. Now, I cannot send email out from my cellphone. What email outgoing setting should I use. I used stmp. rogerswirelessdate.com befor June 2, 2015.

The SMTP gateway that you have been using to deliver mail from your wireless device was shut down on June 29th, 2015
For all Rogers Internet Email customers (firstname.lastname@example.org), we asked them to use the following instructions.
IMAP on Apple iOS
IMAP on Android 2.3 and below
IMAP on Android 4.x devices
IMAP on Windows 7.x-8.x devices
As you mentioned you are using a Telus e-mail, so these steps may not assist you, and you may need to contact Telus for assistance on the changes required to send email from your wireless phone.

My go daddy email account no longer sends emails since the server changes at Rogers. It was set up using the outgoing server:
smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com, the port is 25

The Rogers Wireless (SMTP) gateway has been decommissioned.
I would recommend using your email providers SMTP server. If the server does not work you would need to speak with GoDaddy.
Does anyone else in the Community know of any work arounds for GoDaddy emails?
I am very sorry to hear that you may leave Rogers because of this.
We have many emails that work on our network using the settings provided by the email provider, such as Gmail, Outlook, iCloud etc.
I am not sure why GoDaddy's email is not working correctly with our network using their standard ports. Have you got in contact with them?
As this a 3rd Party Email it wouldn't be something we have full support/configuration over.
