I have a phone from overseas that supports these bands 2G GSM 900/1800/1900MHz + 3G WCDMA 850/2100MHz. I cannot get 3g data with this phone. I was under the impression that rogers supports the 850 3g band.
Is it because rogers only supports hspda 850/1900 and not wcdma 850/1900?
Is there a difference?
technically i already knew that 3g = wcdma = umts,
i was simply correcting you, you said rogers does not use wcdma, and i was simply CORRECTING you saying they do. nothing more, no need to show me examples, i actually worked with those bands already, as in deployed and tested them. so posting it will mean nothing mroe to me than stuff i already know
You may know it, but others do not. So posting WILL indeed help others. Not only you;).That is correct BUT it depends on the Frequencie. As you can see on the links below i provided, you will see MANY are having the same issue as the OP. So please read the links to find out what is going on.
Just showing some facts for you & OTHERS!. 🙂
Well thats not fair man, atleast fess up when u make a misake
You should have posted "I was WRONG rogers DOES support WCDMA, but however in such and such frequencies, I'm awfully sorry for the confusion and misunderstanding that this has caused our community, Pauly"
ME: your appology is greatly appreciated meowmix, no worries, lets move on now.
