It is very strange indeed. The only place you can now find The Rogers Anyplace TV Home Edition app (not to be confused  Rogers Anyplace TV which is for streaming on your tablet or smartphone) is on iTunes for an Apple device. As you said though, this thread is about "my guide & manage my pvr missing" from the MyRogers site and it has now been over a month since Rogers has even seen fit to provide us with an update here. I have PMed them with no response either. The whole issue is very disconcerting!

Not quite so, JohhnyR. If I search the Play store on my Galaxy Tab4 I get three app's come up. One is Anyplace TV Home Mobile (ON), Rogers Anyplace TV, and finally RAPTV Home Edition ON. Exactly as it's spelled - I didn't shorten that.

@lensman

You are correct. The links on MyRogers appear to working once again, though it was verified by @OLDYELLR that previously, the links were not working! If I click on the Tablet link, it now takes me to  RAPTV Home Edition Tablet ON. Interesting though in that out of 418 reviews, 253 give it a 1-star rating! The mobile link brings you to  Anyplace TV Home Mobile (ON) where out of 1032 reviews, 642 give it a 1-star rating. I guess neither app is very good! However, the use of the apps is not really the subject of this thread which was started in response to Rogers removing the ability to view your guide and program your PVR on a COMPUTER through the MyRogers Website. The bottom line is that this function has not been restored by Rogers nor will anyone from Rogers comment here to explain to us what is going on!

Re: my guide & manage my pvr missing

The iPhone and other Android mobile device screens are too small for a proper view of the Guide. Nobody is happy with the mobile Rogers AnyplaceTV app.

Give us our ability to view the MyGuide and program the Nextbox PVR on a COMPUTER through the MyRogers Website.

Yesterday was already too late!

Rogers, you had it all working....PLEASE GIVE IT BACK TO US

@boulevardier, you are exactly right. Rogers had a computer app to manage our PVRs and did away with it to replace it with one for tiny screen mobile devices. The work was done, the code exists, why re-invent the wheel as a roller skate. And they won't come out and say why they did it or even if we'll get it back. All that has been gained is a new look website.

I would further request that if (when!) they bring it back that it comes back "New and Improved". It really was a clunky thing to use but even that was better to use than the present Guide and PVR controls on the cable box itself.

On my 1.70 GHz laptop, even with a 4 GB memory upgrade, managing my PVR was a bit slow compared to doing it on the TV. I'd venture to say if it comes back "new and improved" it will need more resources and be even slower.  But one improvement I would like is being able to jump to a channel directly instead of scrolling through 500 chaqnnels  and waiting for the display to refresh.

Great suggestion: @OLDYELLR

I thought it let you scroll to a multiple of 50.
50, 100, 150,,,, etc
This was great feature on web version but not on mobile.

@silentbob

I believe you are correct. It has been so long now since I have been able to view the guide on MyRogers that I am having a little difficulty remembering it. Smiley Wink If I am correct though, the channel numbers appeared on the right side in multiples of 50 as you said and if you wanted say channel 282, you would just click on 300 and then scroll down a bit from there. Also I believe there were features that would allow you to quickly get to the time you wanted to view as well as the day. It was also much easier to do a search than on on the PVR itself where you have that ackward box of letters that you had to scroll through one letter at a time. All in all, as suggested by @lensman, it was a much better experience than using the box itself.

I think you're right, @silentbob, and @JohhnyRockets.  I never used the PVR manager with my computers much because they're a lot older and slower than my TV and PVR. Each time I scrolled down I'd have to wait for the screen to refresh. With my SA8300HD PVR the Guide shows 5 channels and I can page down 5 at a time or punch in a channel number and browse from there.

Re: my guide & manage my pvr missing

Hello Community!

Update: We will be adding the Manage My PVR feature to the Rogers Anyplace TV website. The Rogers Anyplace TV website - http://www.rogersondemand.com/ - is available to any cable customer with a browser on a laptop or desktop.

This feature will no longer be available on Rogers.com but will be available on the Rogers Anyplace TV website instead.

Due to technical issues the links have not been deployed yet.

We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this issue, and understand the frustration for those who have gone without this feature.

Stay tuned for more updates!

@RogersAsif

I too am very appreciative that you have provided an update as I have been clamouring for an update for a few weeks now! Smiley Wink

I am curious though as to why this feature will now be part of the Rogers Anyplace TV website as opposed to MyRogers.

I would also hope that you or someone else from Rogers will let us know when the Manage My PVR feature will once again be available!

Thank you!

Yes appreciate the news.

I forgot to set my recording for the Mens Tennis (Djokavic & Nadal!) recently and then left home.

Thankfully this was available live streaming,  on-demand so watched it live, remotely.

Looking forward to the site update though.

Just wondering how long we will have to wait for more updates. We lost this feature last April. It is now June. Why does it take Rogers so long to fix something that they messed up - especially when they had a perfectly good link to something that was working just fine?

Hello everyone,

We apologize for the delay with placement of the “Manage My PVR” link on the Rogers Any Place TV (RAPTV) website.

We are making every effort to solution this concern as soon as possible. We will provide additional updates as new information becomes available.

So here we go again. It has now been over 2 months since we have lost this function and still Rogers is apologizing but not providing a fix - yet! My main question is why this function has to be moved to the Rogers Any Place TV (RAPTV) website. It was previously on MyRogers and it worked just fine. The link was there and it functioned reasonably well - most of the time. Why can this function not be made a part of MyRogers again? And how long do we have to keep listening to excuses and apologies?

I believe the loss of function has to do with the complete re-vamp of the Rogers website, to make it prettier, I presume. It must have been done by a completely different team using a completely different platform and they had little idea of everything the old site did and no communication with the original team.  An awful lot of things were broken or lost.  It's slowly getting fixed. At its worst, it was hard to log in here because I had to scroll and navigate to different areas after my hour of inactivity expired. Now it stays on the same page, but I have to log in 3 times. Obviously, there's a long way to go yet, which is why Rogers can't give you a firm timeline.  I hate to point out the obvious after the fact, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Rogers seems to be doing a lot of that!

We want to keep everyone as informed as much as we possible can, while we address these issues, we will continue to provide updates until this matter is resolved. It's important to us to restore the functionality of the "Manage My PVR" feature as soon as possible. It's evident how important this feature is to our customers, we understand the inconvenience created by its loss and are working hard to have it returned.
