Hello Indrid-Cold
Have you tried deleting the email account from the phone & re adding it again to see if it works?

yes, I spent hours on the phone with Rogers and no luck. I know it's got something to do with the outgoing server settings, but what are they suppose to be?

Did you add this one manualy? (enter in the pop/smtp address)
Or via one of the pre-set ones.
ANd is your internet through rogers, or someone else.
I know, SOMETIMES, if you say try to send something via your emails SMTP server, and your not on the internet by that same provider, it wont work. Not sure if rogers servers are that way.

I did at first do it automatically but then later changed some of the manual settings. Rogers also verified the settings but I think we're missing something somewhere. Yes, I am with Rogers.

Can somebody please figure this out?!! I mean, how hard could it be?!!

Let me guess this straight. So you can SEND emails via WiFi BUT when connected on Rogers network you get told its the wrong password?
Which network does it do that on? EDGE, 3G OR LTE? Also which email are you using? Gmail, Hotmail or Rogers mail?

I think ive seen this problem before, what mail server settings are you using for outgoing mail server (smtp)
The problem is when your on cellular, you need to use roger's smtp server and when you are on wi-fi, you need to use your rogers@home e-mail server settings. now, the server is probaly rejecting the login maybe u need to add the login credentials to the rogers @home outgoing mail server, please get back to us and let us know what settings you tried so we can furhter assist

ok, with cellular data turned off and connected to my wireless network at home (rogers) I get username/password error. Right now I have several smtp servers setup but the primary is: smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com user name *****@rogers.com
password:****** Use SSL OFF. Authentication PASSWORD. Server port 25. Server button is on.

Pauly is correct. Your using a celular only smtp server, which likely is only accessable properly from the cellular netowrk.
In your settings, you will want to make sure to use these two. I can confirm, BOTH will work, on both cellular and wifi setup.
Incomming: pop.broadband.rogers.com
Outgoing: smtp.broadband.rogers.com
Also make sure to go into the settings for the smtp.broadband.rogers.com... and make sure to put in your username (your email address) and password, as it requires authenticaton for outgoing email.

No, this is not working. I went through all of this with Rogers on the phone. The only thing we haven't covered is the port numbers.

I have a problem with my Iphone 6 where I am able to send emails when I am connected to a wireless network but not when on the rogers data network. I have called and gone to see a reogers tech specialist and they advise me that there is no rogers outgoing SMTP server. I have to talk to my email provider to give me a mobile smtp address? I have called my email providers and they have one SMTP server which I am using.
I had an iphone 5 and had the same emails set up with no issues on sending out the emails. This is very frustrating not to be able to sedn emails while you are away from a wireless network that you have an SMTP setup

Hi @achatur
Welcome to the community
I just wanted to ask you, what outgoing SMTP server did your email provider, provide you with?
Thanks,

Unfortunately we can not assist with non Rogers emails.
I would suggest to contact your email provider for further assistance in setting up the email.
