Well just spoke to a business specialist and I thought I could go to the apple store and pick it up there but corporate employee discount lines cannot do that, so if anyone wants to drop by the apple store at Mapleview they have one extra 32G black 4S that will be there as I just had to cancel that reservation this morning as they would not be able to modify my account with Rogers,
Still in progress since Sunday night,
When speaking with the customer service rep she was nice and said they did have info on what the status notations are it is all pure specuation. And as there are no senior Rogers moderators on here the forum is merely a place for rumor
Yes I worked there over 14 years ago and nothing has changed they are a communications company that truly struggles with communication
So my blackberry cccccccccccccccontinues to repeat the letter cccccccccccccccccccccccc randomly as I wait for the new phone
I placed my order on Oct 18th for a White 16GB 4S. On that day I was #445 and "In progress(Pre Fulfillment)". I moved maybe 1 spot a day and until the afternoon of Oct 21st when I moved to #0 of 6XX, my profile locked and became "In Progress". BUT, a couple hours later, I jumped from #0 back up to #438.
THEN on Monday Oct 23rd, my number dropped down to #414, but my status moved BACKWARDS and became "In progress(Pre Fulfillment)" again!!!
Since then, my account went DOWN to #384 yesterday, ONLY to jump BACK up to #414 a few hour later. SO STRANGE!
I also was not given the option to ship to the store as they told me it would be shipped directly to my address.
I reserved by iPhone 4S black 32GB on Oct 13th and was in position 73XX. Today moved to "in progress". Lets hope for the best for a quick process and delivery.
This process has been really annoying and painful. I reserved on Oct 14th and started at 7796. Still "In Progress" since Oct. 20. The worst part is not knowing when this is going to end! According to Rogers' FAQ, "In Progress" means, "we have begun the shipment process". It's been four business days and still no email saying my phone has shipped.
Reserved black 32g on Oct 9th. Started at position 4111. Went to 'In Progress' status on October 20th. Still 'In Progress'.
I finally got my phone a couple days ago... for all of you waiting, here was my situation.
- Reserved a 32gb white 4s on Oct 10th... was in the 3200 or 3300's... had it sent to a Rogers Plus in downtown Toronto.
- I trickled down on the waitlist pre-launch. The week after launch, my spot in line dropped significantly each day.
- Status changed to In Progress overnight on Oct 19.
- Shipping notification on Oct 24.
- Phone call to pick up the phone 20 mins after receiving the shipping email.
The shipping notifications appear to happen sometime between 10am - 10:30am. I noticed that's when other people recieved theirs as well.
It took about 30 mins in the Rogers store to set up the phone. The staff were pleasant and helpful... very talkative about the popularity of the 4S.
