email backlog

I got a new computer and switched to live mail, and now its recieving every email I ever got again.

 

Is there any way to stop this and only get new emails.

 

I dont want all my old emails again  its gonna kill my bandwith alotment

Unfortunately not really.

THe email client, is going to be LOOKING for any email that it hasnt downloaded yet.  Until it has it will view those as 'new' to it.

Only really thing  you could do, is say move all the OLD ones, into a folder say when in the webmail.  this would then only have it download the new ones, that filled the inbox after the move.

if you ever wanted to view them, you would have to go into the webmial, then into that folder, etc.
