ZTE MF28B Speed Test

Hey Everyone,

I currently have a Netcomm 3G27WV and thinking of upgrading to the new ZTE/LTE Rocket hub. Does anyone have actual speed test numbers to share? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Re: ZTE MF28B Speed Test

It might take a while for a reply.   I did this same request on the Netcomm 3G27WVR back in April 2012 and just noticed a posting came in on June 26.     People don't come here unless there is a problem/request or so it seems.

Re: ZTE MF28B Speed Test

Speed test for ZTE MF28B? Yes, just over 1mbps for download and upload. I'm not in the LTE area. I came here because I'm angry. I went with the Rocket Hub because my other option (Silo) was too slow (6mbps). Silo has unlimited usage but I decided that I'd rather go with the high speed (20mbps) that the Rocket Hub promises. Now, I'm stuck in a two year contract with Rogers for a service that's not was it was supposed to be. My only hope is an antenna to boost the speed. Of course, the site that Rogers told me to go to doesn't have the antennas for the MF28B. Ugg. Sorry, I had to rant to get this off my chest. I'll start my own thread now...

Here's mine.  I'm outside LTE area BTW.

Here's my results and I use the old W35 rocket hub.

Down 6.14     Up 1.09

If I can get speeds like this on 3G there should be no reason you guys can't do better with the newer hubs & service.

So it looks like a steady 6 down and 1 up. Someone has to have some numbers in the LTE area with this hub?

Re: ZTE MF28B Speed Test

Well, let's just say the service has degraded a bit in the last few months.

Went from this: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2301959579.png

I just performed the later, 11:00 Sunday night, which is when I usually get the fastest speeds.  Looking to ditch Rogers...

Re: ZTE MF28B Speed Test

You got some serious problem with that lower reading.  Your ping alone at 603 ms is weird.   Your probably dealing with an overcrowded tower and should be on the phone with rogers because those speeds are totally unacceptable.

Speed test 750 am today -  5.35 Mbps Down  -  1.08 Mbps Up  rocket hub W35.

Re: ZTE MF28B Speed Test

As another long-time W35 user, I have long ago stopped doing speed tests.  It is both too time consuming and too depressing to deal with the cold, hard fact that my Rogers Internet cellular connection is substandard in all regards, except one: we pay a super-premium price every month for the "privilege".

I simply will not waste my time phoning Rogers, as I have better things to do with my life than to wait on the phone.
