Probably already discussed somewhere, but any word on the 2.3 update for X10? I hear Ericsson has released it, but everywhere I look I see comments like, "Good luck if you're on Rogers..." etc. Say it ain't so Rogers.
Solved! Solved! Go to Solution.
This worked for me:
i) go to settings:Applications:Manage Applications;
ii) select “All” on the top menu;
iii) Select “Media Discovery” and clear data;
iv) Select Media Storage and clear data;
v) turn off the phone and turn it on again (so that media from sd card is repopulated in the media library).
Works great now!!!!!!
This is truly frustrating!
I just updated my phone through the PC Companion last night and since then nothing has worked. The Apps don't work. The Market doesn't work. I can't change my settings, I can't change the phone ring tone and notification sounds (As of right now I am getting nothing but random errors), I can't even browse the market for updates without getting multiple messages that say:
The process android.process [Insert Process That has Stopped Here] has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
It's either that OR the whole thing resets... I can't get anything done now... Honestly, I've tried everything...
I want to go back to 2.1 land when everything was simple and easy and everything worked and it just worked... =(
I had all of the same problems when I did the upgrade, get errors with every screen I moved to. So I plugged the phone back into PC Companion and did the upgrade again, unfortunately when you choose the repair option it completely removes all data on your phone so a 3rd party backup is required. But my phone now works the way it was intended with the update.
Hope this helps.
Take out the sd card - that should fix everything. Copy files from sd to computer, format card - put it in and transfer files using usb cable. That should work
I had the nothing worked and that fixed it. Now I can't change ringtones - it either reboots if I try to use Android system, and soundpicker crashes.
Yup, I've tried all sorts of task killers, changed display settings, but nothing is helping. Before the battery lasted 1 day plus, now 8hrs max. Anyone else? any thoughts on a fix?
For some reason the 2.3 firmware likes to have the phone run at the max processing speed of 998Mhz when your doing stuff when the screen is on. This is what is killing that battery. I run a rooted version of the Operating systen and have the CPU to max out at 768Mhz and my phone lasts about 40hrs on a single charge with average use. Similar to what I was getting with 2.1
