Why is there no AMC HD in Ottawa?

I thought it simply didn't exist, but no, Rogers simply does not carry it? Why? All these great shows in blurry out of focus visuals? Is this what I'm paying Rogers for? I am dreading watching the finale episodes of Breaking Bad in August on this horrible channel.

Rogers! Give me AMC in HD now!

Um, rogers does carry AMC in Ontario. (Just not east coast yet.... That's a whole other issue)

When you go into the guide, what does it show for the channel? Checked mine and shows as AMCHD
Now they show a lot of old movies which may not be HD and still show up as SD quality

It has been on channel 482 for a while now. I'm also in Ottawa btw.

oh I'm so sorry! All this time, I was moaning about AMC, the station itself, not having HD. And here it was, right here in Ottawa, supplied by ROGERS, yet they did not inform me?!  All this time, I was watching Breaking Bad, Mad Men in crappy low res.What fool me!!

Went out and bought Breaking Bad Season 5 DVD in BluRay - such fine detail - it was breaking my heart that I was going to have to sit through the last 8 episodes in crappy low res.

So I googled "is there AMC in HD" and found this forum and miraculously discovered it was here in Ottawa all along. I feel like a complete idiot, but a relieved idiot.

Sorry Atlantic Canada, but it could have been me too watching in crappy low res if I hadn't googled!
