What happens if I suspend service on a Blackberry?

I added a Girlfriend to my Family Plan and got her a new Blackberry free of charge on a 3 year contract. Is is possible to have the phone locked even though I know she has changed SIM card?

There is not such thing as suspending a blackberry. If you suspend her service then she will not be able to call, text,BBM or view anything on the Internet. Also she won't receive incoming calls or texts or bbms. It will shut down the service until u put it back up.

Is it based on the Serial number of the registered phone....I know shes put the SIM card into another Blackberry and has a different one in the new phone......sorry...Im just looking at options right now so I dont really want to call Rogers with this unless absolutely necessary

They will block the service from the account you got it from so the sim card will be blocked. They can not shut down or suspend the phone seeing as ONLY RIM might be able to do that. I would suggest calling Rogers and have them look into this.
