Using/transferring a @rogers.blackberry.net email address on android

I'm thinking about moving from my bold 9700 to a captivate, or maybe an unlocked atrix.
Regardless, would I be able to transfer my @rogers.blackberry.net email address to the android, or is it locked to blackberry devices?

Welcome to the Rogers community,

Unfortunately, that email address is restricted to blackberry devices.  You cannot use this email if your using another device other than a blackberry.

Get a gmail address, and you can use it on almost any device now and forever*...

Also when you start to use Android the gmail address is the glue that ties your services together (email, calendar etc)

It is more efficient to use a gmail account with an android device as it allows you to synchronize all your information. In addition, if you happen to forget your unlock pattern as well your gmail account will be used to log in to your device.
