Hi I have a simple question regarding unlimited evening and weekend plans for local calls.
If for example I have a plan where from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am the calls are free locally:
1. Someone calls me at 7:50 am and the call lasts until 8:30 am, how am I charged?
2. Someone calls me at 5:50 pm and the call lasts until 6:30 pm, how am I charged?
I've heard that for scenario 1 the full call is free and that for scnenario 2 the full call is charged. I only want to confirm this.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Unless there are some changes in Rogers system, the first call is free, it is started in a free time 7:50AM. The hole call is free.
The second call started at chargeable time, 5:50PM. The whole is chargeable.
The identical situation with long distance, if it is not included. Rogers "decide" what type of call is based on beginning time and beginning location.
If the call started in home area, then I am driving out of my home area, call is local.
Again, at least I checked it with Rogers CS some time ago. Not sure if the situation been changed
Interesting, and thanks for clarifying, MM!
So, if on a weekday late afternoon hour long call and it is "almost" 6:00 PM, one may as well hang on for an extra few minutes to let it spill over to evening before hanging up -- and get the whole call free (free, as in no minutes charged)!
Hard to picture that one getting by 'em, that's why I had doubts -- sorry!
