TV appears too zoomed in

I just got a DCX3400-M HD box form rogers and now it appears that all the channels are too zoomed in, the picture is being cutoff at the top and bottom. I have a Toshiba 40L5200U LED TV so it is HD compatible. I already checked the zoom function (# key on remote) and its off. Any suggestions anyone?

Have you checked your TV's zoom settings?

He did say that he checked the zoom function.

Only thing i could think, would be to check the rogers box settings, see what they are set to in there in the case of picture.. if its forcing a different aspect, etc?

Not sure where this is on the Moterola unfortunately.

Lurker is reffering to the TV remote and not the one that comes with the Motorola box.

Correct.  I was referring to TV settings, not the cable box setting.  Took a look at the manual for the guy's tv and there are TV-based zoom settings as well.

Re: TV appears too zoomed in

I found it was with the TV and not the cable.

Mine was under "ARC" on the tv remote.  My tv was a Haier

If the box is running on Sara you can run hd set up wizard, press guide and info on box while it's shut off follow the steps on screen to change the pic size, if that doesn't do it then it would be your tv zoom
