Stock Captivate dropping 3g on Gingerbread

I have been searching for days and know that other phones have had this problem. I had rogers "refresh" and seemed to work for half day, but the 3g signal is still on/off...drop calls, others don't hear me, etc. I have reset phone/pulled battery/flight mode on and off...everything. I have now set the phone to 2g/edge, but the data flow is so crappy. Any others keeping me company?? Thanks.

MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS Proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 720

Everything else blank

Re: Stock Captivate dropping 3g on Gingerbread

could someone please post the APN settings info for rogers/captivate/gingerbread. I want to ensure that I have the right one. others have had the same problem on different carriers, but apparently not so much on rogers. thanks.

Re: Stock Captivate dropping 3g on Gingerbread

thanks very much. although the apn's match mine, i entered those details manually and still only gsm/edge. i cannot pick up 3g anymore with the gingerbread update. i only know people with iphone or bberry (they haven't realized how good this is...yet). can anyone confirm that they went to gingerbread on this phone with no 3g problems?? thanks again.
