We were at the cottage for the past couple of weeks and I shut down all my equipment before leaving. When I came back and turned the power on everything was fine except for the new Hitron modem (they replaced my older modem when I added home phone). It would turn on but that was it - no internet.
Called tech support and we came to the conclusion that the modem needed to be replaced. I went to the Rogers store and got it, plugged it in and reset everything again. But, ever since then I've noticed the network is really slow - especially Facebook games.
Short of a call to tech support are there any suggestions?
Ok, after chatting with tech support they are aware of a firmware issue with the Hitron that they are working on with the supplier. They don't have an ETA (actually ETR which I assume is repair) but are working on it.
