I need direction/advice as to setting up my iPhone 6S Plus for my new Data plan. Do I need to have Cellular enabled?? What other settings need to be enabled to achieve the best results? Previously only had talk and text but no data plan.
Any and all instruction appreciated.

Cellular period on most phones is usually on with most phones, has to be for the phone/text, etc.
The main thing to make sure on the phone that is on, is under Settings > Cellular
There is a Cellular Data. Just need to make sure that that is on.
On a side note, you can on this page can actually set settings for what can and cant use cellular data.
You can set it up that those apps can then only run while your on wifi, not using up any cellular data while you are out.

Hi @Gdkitty!
Thank you for your response and instruction. What apps would you recommend to set up/edit to use only WiFi? Also, should I enable WiFi Assist?
Appreciate any and all input.
Thanks.

Personally, no, i dont like having Wifi assist on.
That it will use some of your cellular when your wifi performance is not great... you cant really tell when it is/isnt.. and you potentially could be using a lot of cellular usage, when you really dont want/plan to.
Otherwise..
App wise, its really up to you. Some times might/may go out and check things a LOT, like Facebook, etc. Other things not so much.
If its something that you would never plan on using outside of an area with wifi.. than its something you can turn off.
