Is it true that the S5 cannot connect to Roger's LTE network?

Hello kstah
Um where did you hear this? Rogers sells the Galaxy S5 and i own it. It works on LTE and pretty fast i must say. It depends on the device. Some devices on Europe aren't optimized to work on LTE here in North America but Rogers does sell the S5 and works on LTE.

Hello Meowmix
Looks like you are an expert here with Rogers and S5.
I have an old plan and during my last conversation with Rogers support, she cancelled my add-on offernig other one without mentioning, that the new one does not include SMS to Canada.
of course, when I found it, they cannot reverse it. For SMS they are "offering" to purchase add-on for sms
As I understand, using RON is no charge for SMS. I am not using a lot of sms, so RON would be a perfect "solution"
Does it possible and if yes, do you know how to make a RON a default app for sending sms? the current messages app would receive any incoming message, which is free, and I would turn on RON to reply.
any other smarted idea?
Thanks

I tried:-(
the "manager" created request to tier2 (I think) to reverse my previus old option. in a mean time he gives me txt only, till it will be resolved.
so, back to my question - RON default for sending? if possible
