I spoke with a Rogers rep and he said that they will not be getting the S2 yet. He said probably not until earliest September, but more likely even later in the year.
Too bad...its an amazing phone, but I've been saving my upgrade for months and months for the S2 only to be disappointed that I have to wait for everyone else to get it first.

My guess is that yesterday's "accidental" & temporary renaming of this forum to "galaxy S3" was perhaps not an accident, but just premature?
Given the Monastic like silence from rogers...here is my next guess...rogers will eventually say that they are not going to proceed with the distribution of the GSll LTE and will instead be distributing the Nexus a.k.a. GSlll....

Actually the thread was not renamed, someone wrote a message saying he'd rather wait for the Galaxy S3 and change the subject of his post, someone replied to his message so the name changed to Re : Samsung Galaxy S3. It has nothing to do with Rogers or the mods. Someone simply changed the subject.

I found the SGS2 on Rogers page and hit Order Now and made it all the way through to the checkout, but didn't proceed.

Sorry for the "cap" that follow; RIGHT ON MOBILESYRUP!!!!! MOBILESYRUP DID IT'S JOB, INVESTIGATE, VERIFY & REPORT!!!
Who said that MOBILESYRUP would be not write this story out of concern that rogers would "cut them off early testing etc"??
One of my favorite Quotes in the article was "Rogers sent an email back saying that a shipment miraculously arrived today and customers can expect it shortly."
MOBILESYRUPS' wonder at the miraculous arrival is only matched by mine!!!
Think about this...we are not waiting in line for MOBILSYRUP, yet they DELIVERED A SUCCINCT HONEST RESPONSE...& rogers?

Wow.... kudos to those of you who e-mailed MobileSyrup - especially Shaggyskunk. It actually worked. We got an answer!
Thought I'm sure it's a coincidence that the phone is now up on the Rogers website (i.e. they probably just happened to finally receive a big shipment from Samsung today, and it has nothing to do with our complaining), it is nonetheless AWESOME to see that beautiful piece of hardware in all its shining glory on the Rogers site. This MUST mean that they now have ample stock, and hopefully will be shipping them out to us immediately, and sending them to the stores as well.
Finally, finally, finally!!! I feel giddy right now!

It's GREAT to see that even though we are small in comparison Megarogers, we can hold them accountable! Tman, EVERYONE "EVOKED" this response from MOBILESYRUP! We SHOULD ALL send a Thank You e-mail to info@mobilesyrup.com!!

When I cliced Store locator, it brought up my location...I called them and they said they have not received them as of yet....BUT, they could well arrive during the course of the day TODAY..
One other point....the person that I spoke to at the rogers store WAS AWARE OF THE MOBILESYRUP update & rogeres resonse to them.
