I wonder if Rogers and its hardware partners would appreciate it everyone called in and said , if its not Rogers and the Internet, nor a problem with my computer... then the answer Must be the Hardware used to connect to the Internet. So, effectively we en mass, get our modems exchanged and start complaining about how bad the modems are!!
I mean what else could it be but faulty modems... RIGHT!
OR the REAL issue is rogers servers at HOP 6 and 7 that are snooping / throttling, are so overwhelmed that they are causing the Issue ( I am using a rocket hub BTW)
my tracert below shows pretty decent connection but my WORLD latency is 4753!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's happening at hop 5? Seems strange you have a local IP there after 4 other hops.
HOP 6 and 7 are obviously internal Rogers filtering servers... snooping my data for Harpers NAZIS or looking for P2P networks.. remember the software Rogers said it used to "filter" connections for nasty P2P stuff.. I am on a 3G connection so these hops are ROGERS servers messing with my connection..... Everytime I see the new Rogers ads MOCKING bell line connections I think... no matter how slow they were... AT LEAST THEY CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET....
WITH ROGERS... WE PROBE YOUR CONNECTION, WE CONTROL YOUR CONNECTION... IF YOU ARE NOT **bleep** WE MAY LET YOU GET CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!

of course I do... are you still getting a Denial of service attack when you play games?
Or have you read the hundreds of posts that infer roger's throttling of P2P networks makes game playing really slow... ????
i cancelled my contract with rogers and switched to teksavvy for that very same reason. I cancelled my cell phone contract, my internet, my cable tv and my home VOIP phone. All switched companies because they shall never get a penny of mine again
And I am doing the exact same thing.. cancelling everything. I wonder how many customers they lost cause they didn't acknowledging that problem.
