Did some digging after @O_M_R commented on another post.
So according to Mobile Syrup as of now "no carriers intend on selling the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950XL in Canada"
Looks like if we want this device that we will have to buy it unlocked from Microsoft.
Anyone from ROGERS wish to comment? Any validation to this article?

The article is correct - we will not be carrying these devices, but they can be purchased directly from Microsoft.

yeah I did some digging after another member made a comment on another post.
I'm definitely discouraged after reading it. I can't say I'm surprised. Carriers in this country never supported windows phones.
I assumed that if AT&T was going to carry the phone in the U.S. then at least Rogers would carry 1 or 2 of the devices. Never thought they would just stop offering Windows phones.
I'll have to start saving for the 950.

@brandonjbarnard In fairness, it is not for carriers to support it. If people bought it in large numbers, carriers would offer it. Us "the few, the proud" Windows phone users are taking a lot on faith (mainly, that the strategy of one Windows, which is amazing from a technical standpoint, will also be popular and commerically successful). I happen to (still) think Universal apps have a future, so I'll take my chances.
Paying up front is obviously difficult for some people, but you can be secure in the knowledge that, over a couple of years, you will not pay any more than if you bought it with a subsidy.
I'm looking forward to picking up my 950.

Yup, can't afford $848 after taxes for a phone.

@brandonjbarnard I think it won't be long before you'll see it on sale (the one benefit of wanting a device that doesn't sell particularly well). If you can hold on another 6 months after release, I'm sure there will be special promotions.

Hi.
I went though the registeration process because I just wanted to say that if Rogers offered the Lumia 950 on a contract I would switch carriers in a heartbeat.

most defintely. However I've waited since 2013 for a Flagship so I think I may explore other options.

All I can say is that I will not be going through Rogers for my wireless if they refuse to offer this phone on contract. If I buy via Microsoft I'll go to any other carrier but Rogers.
I bought my Lumia 920 via Rogers but never felt the company had any interest in the platform. If it's so tone-deaf as to ignore phones that are fully compatible - as no phone in history has ever been - with 110 million PC users (and growing) then I really ought to send my money elsewhere.
