Rogers needs to change the fee structure on hubs.

I may have to jump ship.  And that's because competitor B e l l structures its fees on the rocket hub with a different plan.  In particular I am referring to the first stage of its fees.  It charges $10 for the first 100MB of usage.  For cottagers who are seasonal and may not be using the hub for several months paying out $10 a month on the hub is a nice touch and much easier to accept than the fee structure of Rogers.    Rogers failed to see this as a feature and good customer relations and goes on to charge $60 for the first 5GB used or not.   It seems the rocket hub, although expensive to use, is not the meat and potatoes for B e l l.   Too bad Rogers didn't see it this way as well.

Darrell, question then.

As the user, likely wants to have the HIGHER usage durring the one timeframe, and have the better rate for that time period..

Do the wireless internet things, fall under the same rules as the cell phones? Where you can switch plans now, no penalty?

Just wondering, if the user can use the HIGHER plan for the period while they need it, then change to a flex for the off season, etc ??

A price plan can be changed at any time.

If I read the link correctly the rocket hub is not included in the flex plan.

For Rocket™ stick, mobile hotspot, or Rocket built-in

I just took a peek.. it looks like you are right 😞

Likely because the HUB contains the voice aspect, etc as well with it, compared to the other devices dont do voice... so the plan structures are a little different.

That sucks, though we had a solution there for you 😞

I guess the next question is how do you get upper management to make a change to the fee structure?

Suppport doesn't have an email.   It has complaints or compliments but sending fee changes to those emails is probably a dead end no doubt.  So does posting here get to those making decisions?  Probably not.

Unfortunately, that has been one thing I have been asking lately.

Other than what has been collected from media outlets like here, fb, etc, and passed on by reps.... There is no real 'suggestion box' so to speak. Even if just one email or form, than any general suggestion can be put in and then be forwarded to the right department.
😞

Now would some kind soul go to that link and PLEASE tell me/us just what

the two (2) price plans (Monthly Service Fees) mean.??

Am I missing something here--??

Which one is for the Rocket Stick..??..The first Data Plan--or the second.??

After you choose your province, its comes to the page with the two tables..

One starting with the $5/10mb

the other starting with $25/200mb

That page????

Overall for GENERAL usage, the 2nd table, is better rates by far.
What the difference is, is explained by the small text below.

The better rates, it appears, are only available, if you sign up for it, on a 2-3 year term commitment.

Somebody moved the post.  Maybe a chance the pricing structure will change.
