No solution yet for the app to work. Have to use login for the rogers website, follow the links until you get to "services" and then follow the link for PVRs.

How do I get remote access via my iPad to my Nextbox PVR?  Home edition used to work just fine.  Now I get message of general error.  I can access TV guide but not my PVR.

@Barlaine : Using Home Edition you should be able to easily access your PVR.

If you have issues connecting, it may be a signal issue at your PVR or in your neighbourhood, preventing a return signal required for proper access:  You can contact Rogers, or check the signal yourself

Note that in order to stream, you now need to utilize a different app - AnyPlace TV (not Home Edition)

Thank you.  It does not work when in various locations so I don’t think it is related to just one location.  App stopped working on my previous Nextbox, got a new one yesterday ( for other reasons) and still does not work.  Not interested in using it to stream.  But when it did work, it was a very practical app to use when away from home - to have access to the TV guide, and a PVR when at a cottage and away from direct cable access.  This in and out of the app working and not working has been occurring for over a year.  No one at Rogers has been able to help.

I wasn't talking about a poor signal in various locations of the iPad, but rather a poor (return) signal at your PVR's location.

 

A poor signal at the PVR or in your neighbourhood can also often cause other issues like ROD not working or SDV channels not appearing when requested, etc.
