Rogers Enhanced Home Networking Gateway

My whole house is hard wired and I used to use Switches for multiple connections within each room. For some reason this has stopped working and when I connect Eg. My Mac + TV + Printer to the switch only 1 device will get network cable access.

Can anyone suggest on what is likely to be wrong here? The exisiting setup I have is that I run one cable to the basement where all the other cables feed to, I have an 8 port switch and then operate a 4 port switch in each room for other devices to connect to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Rogers Enhanced Home Networking Gateway

Our home is wired as well, and if we ever have any issues, usually rebooting (powerdown - powerup) the 8 port switch cures the situation.  I would try that first, and the reboot the other switches if necessary.

If you had any thoughts that you might have an ethernet cable issue somewhere in the house, you would need one of these to check out the cabling:
