Thank you @OLDYELLR for the photo that more clearly shows what I'm talking about.  I just find the Exit button to be in the middle of too many other buttons on the new remote to find it easily.  It's way easier to find by touch on the old remote - and yes, ergonomic design can be different in different cases - like, for example, I think Indian motorcycles many years ago had the throttle or the brake on the left so that the right (gun) hand of police officers was free for shooting while driving.
