I really dont think Rogers care about this either.  I keep getting the same we are aware and working on it and we are sorry line from every avenue I try for support regarding this issue.

Time to let them know how we feel with our wallets, but I think that the people who are interested in this feature are such a small number that we don't count in the grand scheme of things.

At least bring back the ability to program your PVR from the website.  I don't know why they would have removed that?  I know it doesn't solve the issue of the app crashing but offers an alternative.

Actually you can but these bone heads bury it so far into the web you can hardly find it. I just tried and I couldn't locate it but I did just the other day.

Log into your account and poke around endlessly until you stumble onto it.

Holy crapballs!!!  I would never have thought to look on the On Demand website for a link to program me PVR!!  I'd love to find out the logic behind burying it on that page and then not providing you a link on the same page that directs you to download the app (currently broken of course) from your app store of choice.

I should add a note here.  You CAN access the rogersondemand.com website from your iPad but they add a few hurdles.

  1. Open www.rogersondemand.com in Safari on your iPad.
  2. You will get a landing page telling you to download the app and nothing more.
  3. Press and hold on the Refresh button (the circle with the arrow in the address bar) and an option to Request Desktop Site will appear.  Select it.
  4. The proper site will now load.  Pick Manage PVR from the top menu bar.
  5. You will need to scroll down to find the familiar Rogers signin dialog box.  Sign-in.
  6. You will once again get the landing page telling you to get the app
  7. Once again press and hold the Refresh button and request the desktop site.
  8. Voila!  The ability to program your PVR from your iPad again.

The same steps should work on an iPhone but I assume it would be painful on a small screen.  The scrolling seems to be that you have to tap on the scroll bar as trying to scroll it results in the whole page trying to scroll.  I also assume this would be similar on an Android tablet but I'm not familiar with how you request the desktop site on them.

True... but they offer and can't deliver this..... we are technically paying for this.
