Thank you for the fingerprint trick, I'll try it and see it it works. Everything else is still broken however. I would root the device to revert to KitKat but that would void all of my warranty right? Pretty expensive phone, so I don't really want to do that. I was very happy with this phone too, however now it's driving me insane, so I'll likely look to get rid of it when the new nexus phones come out unless it gets fixed, which is a shame.
