Your problem, is likely yes something with the box, per say..
Its likely a signal problem. Especialy people in a house which has never really have had digital cable before, the layouts and how the connections are done/split, even into the house from the street, are often OK for analog, but can cause alot of signal problems for digital.
Usualy when you get what you experienced, its a signal problem to the box itself.
If you call rogers tech support, they should be able to send out a tech, to look at the signal strengths, add a booster if needed, etc.

Hey TheMechanic69,
Are you still experiencing issues? Try to reset the box by removing the power cord for 10 seconds. PM me if that doesn't help and I will look into additional options.
Thanks,

We lost sound last week on several channels as well. Cable 23 and 33 as well as several others. When we disconnected the new CISCO digitial adapter, and reverted to old setup (no digital connection) the sound came back on all the channels.
Has anyone else noticed that problem with the new digital adapters?

Thanks for the info. GDkitty. We do have a digital box in our house as well though. Will have to see what Rogers says. We are experiencing intermittent problems with our internet as well so maybe a boost will help that too???
My mother has a had a problem with the converter on her new digital adapter. The converter wont change the channels, but it will control the sound and power. Very weird. Seems like there are lot of problems with these new adapters. My neighbour just returned several from her house as well.
Hope they get the kinks ironed out before they make the switch to digital only.

I cannot believe this company.
Yes, they will come and install a booster...and you'll all be happy .....and pay they hydro for it 24/7
for a Chinese made booster for $2.00 And they will save millions for not boosting the signal to the level that it should be.
Good job ! Some Trump cost saving, and the people are buying it !

@CooCootwo Good luck finding a suitable booster for $2! More like $40-$50. The power adapter for those draws about 9 watts, costing you about a nickle a year. How many device chargers do you have plugged in around the house? We must have a dozen. Besides, it's a digital signal and won't be degraded. And let's keep U.S. politics out of here.

Nextbox No sound.
Getting volume with Netflix but nothing through this cable box.
Mute is not on
Cables are secure (and not to long)
I see no separate volume control on the box
Have tried resetting the box.

Hello, @Feelincranky
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums! 🙂
Thank you for posting your concern in the Community. It's strange that there is no audio output from the cable box, is it happening for all the channels? Is the video clear on all the channels?
Do you remember making any changes just before the not getting the audio? Have you tried to mute/unmute or increasing volume on the cable box remote control?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
RogersMoin
