Nextbox 3.0 - PVR not working

When I try to pause something, the screen shows the pause symbol but the show keeps playing. 

I cannot rewind either. 

Everything I have PVRd I cannot access. 

I have tried rebooting...has not worked. 

Any ideas?

If a reboot didn't work, and its a rental box, then take it back and get a new one.
