We have a Nextbox 2.0, don't think it is pvr. Just got it today. Can we use it with vcr to record off tv. Upgraded today from basic cable with digital adapter. Just learning to use it. Thanks for reply

Which exact model do you have?
If its the 8642 its the PVR model
If its the 4642, its not a PVR.
Can you use the 4642 to record TV with a VCR? Yes... well kind of.
You would have to plug the VCR in via the RCA or TV cable connection.
You would always have to set the VCR to record channel 3 if via the cable connection, or your input if the RCA connection.
You can schedule a TIME for the recording..
But because the BOX is doing the tuning.. you cant set the channel, etc on the VCR. You have to manualy change the channel on the nextbox and then let the VCR record what its outputting.
Pretty much makes recording 2 things on two different channels durring one night while you are not home impossible.
