It's great with all the LTE rollouts happening everywhere, but when is just basic cellular coverage going to expand in some of the long-time dead areas such as that naggingly annoying deadspot north-east of Haliburton, Ontario, and that large hole between Bancroft, Ontario and Ottawa, Ontario?

That map even has to be taken with a grain of salt.. while it shows coverage.. doesnt say HOW STRONG it is.
I am in georgina (oposide side of lake simcoe from barrie).. that map shows great coverage.. and i have coverage all over town.. but only 1-3 bars, with a dead pocket or two.
Alot comes to supply/demand.. if there are not enough people in that area to SUPPORT putting in a tower.. they are not likely to do it.. it takes alot of time and money to do so.
I have kept an eye on the paper up here.. there has been meetings about a piece of land where they want to put a tower up here.. thats been.. 2+ years now 😛 still nothing yet. SO even when they do feel it necessary, will take time to get it there.

Thanks for both replies. I get the time and money etc. It has been ages that these dead spots have been there, however, funny enough, Bell AND Telus have both expanded and have excellent coverage there now. Nice big shiny tower that I am pretty sure they share!
