Rogers released May 1 2013 LTE in Brantford, but am finding that it only works downtown. How can Rogers release something and claim on their site the whole city and then some is covered by LTE, LTE MAX and not be true. Am I wrong to feel this is false advertising on their part or there lieing.
Correct me if I'm wrong but working on the major street in this city one would think that would be covered or that signal would be better over the years not getting worse.
I know people with Telus that had LTE before Rogers here without any issues with coverage.

Hi AccordXTC, looking at our network coverage map, I see that LTE Max covers most of the city of Brantford. Some areas have regular LTE coverage, and as you move further out from the centre of Brantford you'll get 4G HSPA+ coverage.
Also worth keeping in mind is that the maps are a general representation of our coverage, and the areas shown are approximate.

While i am far from a cellular expert (i would defer to meowmix 90% of the time :)..
I have been trying to look up a little on some stuff with LTE. It seems in MOST cases, the RANGE on most LTE towers, is MUCH smaller compared to a 3g, etc tower. So depending on exact # of towers and locations.. there may be more chance of a NON quite covered area of a city, speicaly if near the outskirts.
I would agree with contacting and at least seeing what they say..

If I were to walk out of the business I work at walk down two buildings LTE comes in lol Its spoty all over the city. I've called Rogers and had it escalated but that never does anything as in the past I've had issues for signal.

Rogers network in brantford is pathetic overall. I live about 150 metres off of King George Road. I get a aisgnal about 25% of the time. Rareely even gprs. Its not my phone. everyone has an issue here. Rogers will not let me out of my conctract even though I've been complaining forever.
