Is this working in Ottawa yet? For those of you with phones that support it, are you noticing the improved throughput? What kind of numbers are you getting?
If you're a heavy data user, is the improvement in connectivity worth an early upgrade?
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
Are there any Ottawa people with LTE Max compatible devices that can comment on Alph's questions?
Thanks,

LTE Max is just normal LTE with a new name.

I have an S4 but it looks like only 4G in Stittsville.
I ran a couple tests on mobilespeedtest and got between 4046 kbps and 5066 kbps (hmm they first display the result in all caps so I thought it was 4MBps). I'll run another test back in Ottawa tonight to see if there is a difference when the LTE icon shows up.

So a buddy of mine has an S4 and I ran a set of network speed tests while holding his phone and mine ( an S2 ). Consistently, in an area of Ottawa that has always given me good LTE results, the S4 was at least 50% faster but usually 100% faster.
