LTE Indicator

Anyone else having issues with their LTE strength.   I'm in downtown ottawa and I can get 4-5 bars of 3G, when the phone switches to LTE, it drops down to 1-2. 

I wonder if this is a signal strength issue or an indicator problem.

Everyone with a LTE device is having the same issue. If you read threads about the samsung galaxy s2 LTE and HTC Raider LTE you will see they are getting max 1-2 bars on LTE. Also when you try to make voice calls it will drop LTE and use 3G or 4G

yup .. unless i go right next to the tower like withing 100-50 ft i dont get all 5bars .. Right now, in mississauga i can see the LTE Tower but Lumia says 2bars only. 

Also Data usage on this beast is crazy .. 2days and 200MB Gone .. 😞 .. So i turned off data 

I also turned off , feedback, phone locator, etc etc ..

That is why i say to everyone to watch out with LTE. Yes the speeds are fast but it comes with a risk off going over ur data limit. So to all becarefull and monitor how much data u use every day.

I'm in Calgary and I have yet to see my indicator say anything but 3G!

I have the same problem here in Victoria -- on a Samsung Focus S, I get 4G all over the city.  With the Lumia, all I see is 3G.  I'll be testing the actual throughput tonight using my son's SIM for comparison.

Weird tho... at first I thought it might be a problem with the 4G network, but now I'm wondering if it's tied in with the 'can't get data connection' problem that will be fixed on the 16th...

Will it say LTE in the corner of the screen or will it just say 4G?

Also .. Does the below screen looks same for Rogers guys ? i am seeing that exact same scree .. no LTE choice there but i am getting LTE

4G on that screen refers to LTE.  4G as reported by the Lumia connection indicator refers to HSPA+.
