The 5c, is the more 'economical' iphone..  its is a plastic body rather than metal.. same basic specs as the iphone 5.

The 5s, you are seeing a processor jump up (so more power), the new camera/flash.

I beleive, all phones from the 4 and up, will be upgradable to iOS 7

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

Hello Gdkitty

Thanks for the post!.   Some of the specs for the iPhone 4S are wrong like the Display for the iPhone 4S Also the 4S does NOT have LTE either. Also it will cost $49 for the iPhone 4S & there only is a 8GB model for it. Most of the specs for the 4S are wrong lol.

Correct specs can be viewed here on the link i posted.. It seems even on the Rogers website, they put the wrong spec info as well.

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

I forgot to post at the top there.

Those are for the 5 models

From left to right.  5S, 5C, 5.

NONE of the stuff on there is for the 4

I have asked the MODS to edit the page for me.

Hello Gdkitty

The iPhone 5 was discontinued as of yesterday. So its the 4S, 5C and 5S. The iPhone 5 is the new 5C.  Once the new iPhonw 5C and 5C comes out,  all carriers will discontinue the iPhone 5. This was said by Apple yesterday.

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

I didnt get to see the full annoucement, so didnt get to see that.

The comparison still stands 🙂 at least for EXISITING people who do have the 5, and wanting to compare it to the new ones.

I will see if i can get the mods, to edit the post and add another collumn as well, for the 4S

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

Of the these 5 models listed on Apple's .ca site  http://www.apple.com/ca/iphone-5s/specs/, what models will Rogers be selling?  These are the model #'s including their LTE Bands:

  1. Model A1533 (GSM)*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)
  2. Model A1533 (CDMA)*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)
  3. Model A1453*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26)
  4. Model A1457*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)
  5. Model A1530*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20); TD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40)

I understand Rogers uses LTE Bands 4 & 7 and it isn't a CDMA system, so I think they will be selling one or more of #'s 1, 4 & 5.  I need an unlocked phone that  either  model #4 or 5, for access to the Costa Rican system which runs on Band 7.

If anyone knows what they will be selling that would be good to know.

Hello steve2107

They will be selling the model Model A1457*. It seems to match the Rogers network frequencies

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

I hope that is right, but I don't see what Roger's frequencies Model A1457 has that Model A1533 doesn't have, other than LTE Band 7.

Rogers site says it uses Bands 4 and 7, so I think they could sell something with either Band.  Also if you look at this page of Apple's it seems to be showing Model A1533 for Rogers  http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/   So I think Rogers could be selling  Model A1533, which would be  a problem for anyone needing Band 7.  That same page shows Model A1457 for France, Germany and the UK.  On Apple's site there are no models that have both Bands 4 and 7. But the Samsung Galaxy G4 seems to have both Bands 4 & 7, so I may have to make a painful switch to Android after a big investment in the Apple ecosystem.

Re: Iphone 5 Model Spec Comparrison

a1533 should be obvious..

why?

UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz)

GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)

LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)

give us an a1457 and we wouldnt even get lte period...
