Rogers sucks. So does bell and all the others. The protection plan has fine print. it only covers non warranty issues and replace your phone with a remanufactured one. so if you pay $600 for a new phone then getting a reman replacement isn't proper compensation

Its is how about... almost EVERY company works though.

IF you say have a TV... and it stops working, while you are still covered under warranty... RARELY do they send you out a NEW TV, its usualy a remanufactured one.

But it does make sense, it's just like car insurance.  If your car gets written off, you don't get all your money back, you get whatever the car is worth (unless you're paying extra for that option).
