Got the iPhone 7 a week ago for my daughter, realized that she can receive a message but can not send one.
A background is she ported her apple account from an iPad.
Tried reset network settings, and turn off the iMessage; no luck.
Please guide me how to locate the problem and fix it.
Thanks

Sorry for a late reply.
The problem was I can't send a SMS out; while I can receive one.
Following the instructions by the Rogers support, I inserted the SIM card belonged to this iPhone to another Android phone; it turned out that it can send/receive SMS. That said the phone line is set up properly.
Then, I put the SIM card back to my iPhone, and did factory reset without connecting any iTune ID. The message function still didn't work. To this end, we suspected that there maybe something abnormal for this phone.
I was told to wait for another iPhone in the next couple of days as a replacement. If the new one works, I will send back the malfunction one.
I may update the status later.
Thank you for your help.
Tony
