How do I turn off closed captioning on my 8300 HD PVR?

Can someone tell me how to enable subtitles on the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 (not hd)?

 

I have the hd box in my living room and can enable it trough the quick settings button but this is not the case with this older type of box.

Hi.

 

Are you referring to Close Captioning (CC)?

It should be there in the Settings.

HD box has cc in the menus

SD box has the cc in the tv settings
