It’s easy to make the move from iPhone to Windows Phone 8. With a little pre-planning and a little time, you can move all your contacts, your email, your calendars, music, photos and videos from your iPhone to your shiny new Windows Phone 8 device.
It’s pretty simple to get all your email from your iPhone to your Windows Phone 8 device.
Here’s How
Your email will appear on your phone. If your account is an IMAP account, all mail will appear. If it’s been setup as a POP account, only new messages will show up.
Tip: You can access just about any email account on your Windows Phone. However, you should sign up for a free Outlook account as well. It’ll make things a lot easier.
For certain accounts, your contacts will be automatically brought over when you enter your email address. If not, though, you’ll have to take a few manual steps to move contacts from iPhone to Windows Phone 8.
Tip: While we’re using Contacts Sync & Backup Pro in this example, there are many apps that will also do the job. The important thing is that they allow you to export contacts in the .CSV file format.
Your Outlook contacts will show up automatically on your Windows Phone.
If you use Outlook on your computer, getting your calendars onto your Windows Phone device is easy.
If you don’t use Outlook on your computer, all hope is not lost. You can still get access to your calendars; the way you do so just varies from service to service. Visit the Widows Phone Sync Wizard, which will guide you through the process for the most popular services.
