Hitron CGN3ROG - can't forward port 8080

I have a Hitron CGN3ROG, software version 4.2.4.5.  I am trying to set up port forwarding to my PS3.  Everything seems to work except for port 8080, which is allocated by Rogers for administration use.  Port 8080 seems to be used by a number of (significant) console games.  Does anyone know a work around or solution to address this issue?  Also, why would Rogers pick port 8080?  Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Re: Hitron CGN3ROG - can't forward port 8080

I know there are a few ports like 20, etc (so possibly 8080? I have never tested it) which are reserved.. i beleive for management connections from Rogers end.

Interesting.. that a game is using 8080 though...

GENERALLY 8080 is usually an alternative to 80, used for webserver.. so basic HTTP traffic, etc.
