Hitron CGN2-ROG

Earache
I Plan to Stick Around

I'm having an issue with this gateway when I enbale or disable bridge mode.

When i put the Hitron gateway on bridge mode my upload speed drops down to ~1mbps.  If I keep it as modem/router and just disble the wifi I get slower download speeds (around ~65mbps) and 10mbps upload.  When i have it in bridge mode I get ~95mbps down and 1mbps up.

I don't understand why it does this, I can't get it to get the higher upload speed in which I'm paying for (I'm on Ultimate 150/10).

Could be a setting with the my Linksys e4200 that limits the upload when the Hitron is in bridge mode?

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to connect Hitron gateway directly to your PC without a router? If the problem disappears it must be settings in your router.

Tedd13 has a good idea.

Put it in bridged, but without the router inbetween, right into the PC.

IF it still limiting the upload.. it definately something with the putting int bridge mode which is doing it.  If not, its something on the router which is throttling it.
