HTC One M9 Questions / Reservation numbers!

Hello Everyone!

As we all know, today at the Mobile congress HTC announced the HTC One M9. The M9 features a 5.0-inch 1920×1080 Super LCD 3 display, Android 5.0.2 w/ Sense 7.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor (4 x 2.0Ghz, 4 x 1.5Ghz) , 20MP rear camera, F2.2 lens / 4K video capture, 2,840mAh battery, 3GB RAM / 32GB internal storage. This device has been reamped & they did add a few new features. HTC Canada did say Canadian carriers including Rogers will be getting it in the early Spring so i would say in a few weeks or maybe a month.

Once Rogers fully announces it & puts it up on the Rogers Reservation system, you will be able to log into My Rogers - Products & Services - Device Reservation. Please follow that & reserve the device.

This thread will be used for this devices for questions & reservation number!!! 🙂

Again thank you for coming on here & hope Rogers opens up the reservations soon!!! Also another note to make. I would HIGHLY suggest you pick a Rogers corporate store for your reservation as in the past with other reservations the third party Rogers store may not get the device when it ships out & they use a different warehouse. So it may be a hassle.

Also please not making a Reservation with Rogers does NOT mean you will be first on getting the device & does NOT garranty you will get the device at launch. You will need to put a $40 deposit down for them to hold the device for you BUT u get it back once the device has been shipped or the reservation has been cancelled.

Agreed! It seems like a real good device!. Lacking on some things but its still a good device! It would have been nice to see them change the design a bit or the screen size to something a bit bigger & add waterproofing for us users!!

@Meowmix Ok yes, I see your point. Hmm waterproofing would definitely be a great feature. I’m still pretty intrigued by this device. I will take a look at it once it is released. See how it feels in hand. Thank again for the info

At this moment there is no actual set date other then " April". HTC and the Canadian carrier should announce this soon! Stay tuned!

Got some good news! HTC Canada has released a statement on Twitter saying April 17th will be the release date for the HTC One M9. Rogers should be following that date. I will update this thread when the reservation opens up!

Anyone know why Rogers is so slow at giving any information about the reservation of this device? The Galaxy S6 reservation went up almost right after it was annouced. Now Telus/Koodo and BestBuy are both starting its pre-orders for the One M9. I'm getting pretty unsettled at how slow Rogers is at responding to the release.

Thinking about just driving down to the states and getting an unlocked one or even switching to Koodo since they have a nice 2GB plan on promo right now and my contract is coming to an end.

It all depends if HTC gave the exclusive rights to Telus and Koodo. Remember manufactures do that at times. So that could be it. I would say sometime this week it should go up!

Unfortunately calling into Rogers won't do much as they don't take reservations over the phone and they aren't trained that much for it.

We're happy to share that sales will begin on 4/17 from our illustrious list of partners: Bell Canada, Best Buy, Future Shop, Koodo, London Drugs, Rogers, SaskTel, Tbooth wireless, TELUS, The Source, Vidéotron, WIND Mobile, and WIRELESSWAVE.

 But as others have said only TELUS have announced it. I hope it will be available on the 17th and not exclusive to TELUS for a couple of weeks, then available to other networks after exclusivity

Yes i posted the same thing almost on page 1... It could well be but it could also mean that the HTC One M9 won't be on the reservation system and just be sold in stores. We will see. I can contact them and see!

If you look at the S6 which is about the same price point, it could be between 250-300$

What I find sad is that everyone else has it on their website as available soon and rogers doesnt have it nor is it available in the web reservation site.

Just because the others are doing it, doesn't mean Rogers will follow... Also I wanted to add Best Buy had put it as Soon but never gave a time frame and also they haven't given a price point. I can see what I can pull up but it will be similar to last year's pricing.

So tomorrow is the launch date and there are still no signs of HTC One M9 on the Rogers website at all. What is going on? There has never been such a lowkey launch for a flagship like this. I managed to call into one of the stores to ask and the sales person didn't even know they had it in storage ready for tomorrow until he asked.

Good news is people that want it would most certainly be able to get it tomorrow if they want to, but I still don't understand how there is no mention of it all at.
